My Secrets -- for Leo

My dear Leo, I love my bath. I love the massage and I love the water. And most of all, I love doing a quick roll and rub on the dirty carpet remnant in the garage as soon as I get home. Woof.

Ah!

They confine me in the kitchen, where everything on the floor is spotless (even, ugh, me) until I am totally dry and can't effectively get dirty again.

I hate the water. I hate my bath because they make me get wet. I hate the smell of the soap they put on me; it kills the scent of cow plop. (Almost.) I just put my head down and suffer until it's over.

I won't even go in the water in the lake....well, unless there's a fat goose pretty close to the shore. Geese fight back, however, and I've had some sad experiences in that area. It's surprising how mean a big gander is, and how BIG, but that's a story for another day.

Ps. My Gamma Wolf sometimes consorts with a wolf from a different pack, one she (incomprehensively) calls her "daughter-in-law." (This wolf is not her daughter, nor do I see what law has to do with it, so this is all a mystery to me.)

Anyway, this other wolf was over yesterday, and said that I smell "like skunk." Before I had time to be pleased, I saw that "Bath" light in Gamma's eyes. Bad news I'm afraid.

My dear Leo,
You are a true male. Which is a very good thing. I'll bet you smelled divine.

Ah, Sausha, if only we were close enough that I could savor your fragrance, and you mine.....

We aren't really all that far apart. Maybe we could maneuver our respective underlings to bring us together?
